5 Best Branded Vines of the Week: 26th June 2014

Three out of our five picks of the best Vine videos of the past week are World Cup related, and excellent micro-videos they are too. Each of the three take a different approach, with French sports site L’Equipe just pipping Buzzfeed Video as our favorite, with its re-creation of match highlights from different games. From the series, we went with the Lego version of the 2-2 draw between USA and Portugal, showing the goal from US midfielder Jermaine Jones. Not quite as entertaining as the real thing, but not far off it. Watch that, and other innovative short-form videos from the past few days.

Best Branded Vines of the Past 7 Days

#1 L’Equipe

French sports media company L’Equipe have created a series of World Cup vignettes using Lego figures. We absolutely cannot wait for the Luis Suarez incident to be recreated in tiny action figures….

#2 Buzzfeed Video

Staying on the World Cup theme, how about a look at every official World Cup poster since 1930. Six seconds of pure nostalgia for any soccer fan.

#3 eBay

eBay solicited the help of creator Roberto Grossman for a series of Vines for the online auction site, and this latest one is a very clever use of both smartphone, and video camera technology.

#4 DisneyParks

Ian Padgham is one of our all-time favorite Vineographers (meet him at the #ReelSummit!) and he seems to be able to turn his hand to anything. In this Vine for DisneyParks, his signature wooden man gets an outing at the Grizzly River Run ride, although standing that near to the water brings its own risks.

#5 Subway

We didn’t know that the world had just celebrated ‘Eat Your Veggies Day’ but we would still have been thrilled if someone had turned up at the ReelSEO office with this lovely bouquet of gorgeous, colorful veggies for us. There’s always next year I guess.

Thanks to our friends at Unruly for the suggestions.
