According to The Hollywood Reporter, YouTube will be putting on a big comedy showcase May 19-25, and it will feature a load of household names from Hollywood and YouTube.  It will kick off with a live stream on Monday night, 8 PM ET/4 PT, with a bunch of stand-up comedy, sketches, and music, with a “pre-show” an hour before start time.  Just about everything in the world of comedy will be featured, and the live aspect is particularly intriguing.  So who are we going to see in this comedy week?  Loads of stars and “unexpected collaborations.”  Hmm…this should be fun.

YouTube’s Comedy Week: Who Will Be There?

The event is being produced with JASH founder Daniel Kellison. The JASH channel on YouTube currently features Sarah Silverman, Michael Cera, Tim and Eric, and Reggie Watts.  They, of course, are part of the lineup.  After the “opening ceremonies” on Monday night, there will be a week full of live performances, new episodes from channels on YouTube, and many of the stars will be curating their “top 10 lists” which I’m guessing is a playlist of their favorite videos.
