The Woodland Zoo is, as you might have guessed, a zoo. Like most zoos, they have all manner of animals on the property: cute ones, vicious ones, and everything in between. And they’re following one of my very favorite online video marketing techniques for small businesses: use what you’ve got.
It reminds me of Big Cat Rescue–the outfit that has scored multiple viral hits simply by filming the big cats they tend to on their wildlife preserve. Here’s one of the most popular:

Use What You’ve Got
Use what you know… film what you already do. I know that advice sounds “too easy,” but I’m going to keep giving it until small businesses realize it actually works.
There are over 1,000 zoos in the world, and thousands more reserves, preserves, parks, vets, human societies, and other animal-related businesses. If you work for one of these, grab a $100 HD camera and go film the cuteness that is surely happening around you every day. It’s not rocket science… people just love animal videos.
But even if your small business doesn’t deal with animals, I urge you to take a close look at what you do on a daily basis. What is it you do that your customers enjoy about you… is it the high quality of your workmanship or is it your personality? Do you make people laugh or smile when you do business with them?
Whatever it is that has helped you succeed in business, that’s the thing about you and your business that your online video marketing strategies should focus on as well.
