This Friday’s helping of fun videos are filled with bad language, adult situations, and violence. But that’s what makes them fun. And also, we threw in some Mother’s Day-themed videos in the middle of this. Why would we put mothers through this? Because we love them, that’s why. While you’re trying to figure that out, just know that the videos this Friday will make you laugh, cry, horrified, and might even make you sing a tune or two. So let’s get right to it.
Fun Video Friday, May 10
I can’t stop laughing at the latest Lonely Island video, which joins Zach Galafianakis’ “Between Two Ferns” to create the ultimate comedy mash-up, also starring Edward Norton and James Franco. And when The Lonely Island sings about “Spring Break” you can bet it won’t be the usual thing (some bad language):
Rhett & Link make a “Yo Mama” video…but with compliments, because it’s Mother’s Day:
Kid President also has a Mother’s Day message full of wisdom:
Tons of celebrities sang the song created by 17-year-old Zach Sobiech, who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer that doesn’t give Zach much more time in this world. So this is melancholy for Fun Video Friday but it’s still a fun video (the original from Zach himself has over 2 million views):
Walk Off the Earth goes the one-take route for their new video, covering Madonna’s “Material Girl:”
Director Edgar Wright. Simon Pegg. Nick Frost. All the people who made Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz awesome. A pub crawl during the apocalypse? I’m there. It’s the trailer for The World’s End:
We saw Michael Shannon do this. Now how about someone imitating Morgan Freeman reading the infamous Delta Gamma letter (obviously, bad language):
As will happen when someone is interviewed on TV and talks in an animated manner, that person will always get the auto-tune treatment. The latest is Charles Ramsey from the Cleveland kidnapping story, courtesy of schmoyoho:
Kids go through some crazy stuff to ask girls out to prom these days:
An angry god unleashes a monster in this tilt-shift animated cartoon uploaded to Vimeo a few weeks ago:
Stop-motion animation delivers “unexpectedly gory” thrills in this brilliant video (obviously has gory, animated violence):
A lame chip joke turns into drunken video cartoon hilarity:
Audi pits New Spock versus Old Spock in this ad starring Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy:
Robinson’s orange juice has two kids playing, having fun, like kids do. Or does it?
Mental Floss and John Green go over common grammar and spelling mistakes:
Buzzfeed wonders, “How much stuff does our body make in one year?”
Veritasium goes deep into what creates mass:
CGP Grey returns with yet another entertaining video about countries that are surrounded by only one neighbor:
As always, have a terrific Friday.
