Food content is exploding on YouTube and has generated nearly 41 billion views on the site. Views for food-related content, such as recipes, and cooking demonstrations, have increased a staggering 170% year-over-year. Food is one of the stand-out categories on YouTube, after gaming, style, and how-to videos, and Tubular Labs and Google have joined forces on a new report about this vertical.
Highlights of YouTube Food Report Findings:
- 71% of the food audience on YouTube is between 18 to 34 years old
- 36% of the audience for food content is located in the United States
- Views for ‘Baking’, ‘cakes’, and ‘cupcakes’ content represents 20% of all food content views
