How to Convert a Part of a Video Into a .gif Image

There are lots of different tools that you can use to convert a section of your video into an animated .gif image. The one we used is Let’s go through the steps:

  1. Pick the section of the video you want to use for the animated .gif – maximum of 15 seconds is ideal.
  2. Take an image of a play button and put that on top of the video.
  3. Render that video clip as an mp4.
  4. Go to and upload the mp4 file.
  5. Download the animated .gif.
