Buzzfeed, that purveyor of everything hot and useful on the web, has created a channel with CNN that could help both brands.  As Buzzfeed is a website that attracts the magic demographic of 18-34-year-olds, CNN gets to skew younger, and Buzzfeed gets some of the relevance brought by CNN.  Buzzfeed is looking to create three videos a week and will be targeted for social media sharing.  It has several YouTube channels already, including ones branded Video, Central, Yellow, Red, and Food.

So you’ll be seeing stuff like this, “Amazing Rescue Moments on CNN:”

I think it’s safe to assume there will be a lot of “list” kind of videos, for which Buzzfeed is well-known, and for which many websites have attracted a ton of visitors.  You can’t underestimate the power of a good title that says something along the lines of “10 Great Ways to Make All the Money You’ll Ever Need,” or if you’re Cracked, “6 Ways Movie Villains Screwed Up Their Own Plans.”  Those kinds of articles/posts/videos tend to do well because they hit on people’s curiosity and the list promises it will be quick and to the point.
