YouTube was founded 8 years ago today. It’s come a long way from “Me at the Zoo,” which come to think of it, sounds a lot like one of the early movies that came out a long time ago called, “Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat,” which was the 1896 film from the Lumiere Brothers showing a train arriving at a station. Yes, yes, YouTube isn’t nearly that old but it has come a long way: 4 billion+ video views per day, and with the help of the brains of Google, is the second largest search engine in the world. Our friends at Shorty Media have created an infographic about their rise, and we in turn will share it with you.
