I’ll (Grant Crowell here) be at the 2010 Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE) June 8-11, 2010 at the McCormick Place West in downtown Chicago. I plan to report on what are the latest proven technologies and marketing strategies in e-commerce, and how online video is becoming an increasingly important part of that mix.

ReelSEO has been covering online video in e-commerce for years.  Check out Christophor Rick’s recent article, E-Commerce Retailers Find Value in Online Video which speaks to the fact that retailers are focused on adding video to e-commerce websites because consumers expect it and retailers are reporting that it works.

ReelSEO’s at IRCE 2010

I will be attending all four days of this event, attending workshops and sessions daily.  Hopefully I’ll be able to gather some choice nuggets of video e-commerce (Or what I’m dubbing “v-commerce”) wisdom from the sessions, speakers, and exhibitors each day for you here at ReelSEO.

I am particularly looking forward to the session, Making YouTube & Social Video Work for You. Previously I did a video interview with one of this session’s scheduled speakers, Razorfish’s Jeremy Lockorn (now Razorfish’s Director of Emerging Media and Video Innovation.)

And as always, I’m open to your suggestions on a covering a conference session, speaker, exhibit, or topic of coverage as it relates to online video. You can also send me a question you’d like me to present at the conference, and I’ll see if I can get it answered and posted here. (Preference give to those willing to submit their question as a video!) Email me at grant at reelseo.com, or if you’re going to be attending the conference, just come up to me if you see me and say, “howzit braddah.” (My fellow Hawaiians will know what I’m talking about.)

About the 2010 Internet Retailer Conference & Expo (IRCE)

The Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition is the nation’s largest e-commerce show, covering all sizes of e-retailing businesses across numerous industries, including store and web retailers, catalog, consumer service, manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors. From the Fortune 500 companies to the individual with one e-commerce offering (or just looking to understand the e-commerce space) this conference has sessions and workshops for people of all sizes, skill sets and experience. This year the IRCE is also featuring a good cross blending of e-commerce sessions with speakers from the search marketing and social media space.
